Our owner, Dave, has been in the computer field as we know it, since 1972. He has been working to maintain his proficiency, accuracy, and knowledge with many tools available to keep your computer running smoothly.
Dave has used his decades of knowledge on all manner of computer systems. He has worked on everything from mainframes down to single personal computers. He has changed his focus over the years, and is now supporting single desktop computer system to networks of in medium and large sized businesses, made up of many of these systems. The size of networks Dave has worked on, has ranged from only a few, to several thousand computers, spread out all over the world.
Dave has dedicated himself to remaining as current as possible on the latest of operating systems, working many times with them even before they have become available to the general public. He has even been involved in several instances of beta testing of operating systems for Microsoft, for the opportunity to see the newest of operating systems in the early stages. This way, when the public has an issue with it, he has already encountered that same issue, and figured out some solution to it and is ready when you call to fix it for you as quickly as possible.
Dave has recently begun working with one of the smallest computers available in the hobbyist market today. This computer is called the Raspberry Pi. It is an all-in-one computer with everything you need, on-board except for the monitor, keyboard and mouse. It utilizes a microSD card for a hard drive. The microSD card can be anything from 4GB to 128GB in size, depending on how much you intend you add, and which operating system you intend to place on it. The Raspberry Pi is designed to run LINUX, but can run a number of other operating systems as well.
